Bringing nearly 30 years of experience in the machine tool industry to this position, John will now serve as the corporate point person for these control product lines, as well as serve as a liaison between the company’s Sales & Marketing and Engineering departments. Parker is based in the Jamestown, New York’s ACU-RITE offices.
Many distributors already know John, who started his career at ACU-RITE in the late ’80s at the young age of 19 in the company’s customer service department. Later he was promoted to product specialist where he was instrumental in the introduction of the first MILLPWR control in 1994. “I go way back,” John smiles.
“I am thrilled to be able to continue to be a part of the machine tool business based at this location, and I look forward to what I see ahead with HEIDENHAIN.” John adds that the company’s recent introduction of the ACU-RITE MILLPWR G2 is an exciting control progression which he sees as the answer to customer requests over the last 20 years for enhancements and features. “This new control is perfect next step for a machinist that is looking to move from a DRO used on a 2- or 3-axis machine tool to a CNC. In fact, another name for it could be ‘The Next Step’,” remarks John.
“I really think ACU-RITE distributors will find this G2 a wonderful addition to their offerings,” says John. “I know I did!”
